Workers have stumbled across a £1million cannabis farm in the basement of the Grand Post House in Wolverhampton. Around 1,000 cannabis plants were found inside the Lichfield Street building.
British Gas workers found the cannabis factory on Tuesday, May 3. No arrests have been made in connection with the discovery, police said.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: ‘Around 1,000 cannabis plants were discovered in the cellar of the Grand Post House in Lichfield Street by British Gas workers on May 3. No arrests have been made. .”

The former Main Post Office is a Grade II listed building. The building was most recently used by the University of Wolverhampton, until 2007.
Each cannabis plant is believed to have a market value of £1,000. Cannabis factories are thought to pose a significant fire hazard due to the electricity needed to power the lights.
