Two-year-old who dreams of being a nurse shows off impressive knowelege

One future nurse has impressed millions of TikTokers with her medical knowledge — though she’s still got about twenty years until she’s old enough to start working.

Two-year-old Emma is fascinated with all things healthcare, according to her mom, Aleece Anderson, and she already has an impressive knowledge of medical terms, tools, and practices.

In videos that Utah-based Aleece has shared on TikTok, Emma explains what an otoscope and sphygmomanometer do, practices treating her stuffed bunny for anaphylactic shock, and even administers a nebulizer treatment

‘Medical students are getting younger each year,’ her mom joked.

In a video posted in January, which has been viewed 1.1 million times, Aleece asks Emma: ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’

‘A nurse,’ the blonde toddler replies.

She then demonstrates how to use several tools she might use one day as a nurse or doctor, explaining them as she goes.

Holding an otoscope, she says: ‘It checks your ears, eyes, and nose and mouth.’

When her mom asks about her stethoscope, she answers: ‘It checks your lungs and your heart.’

She also demonstrates using a reflex hammer and a thermometer.

Astoundingly, she manages to pronounce the word ‘sphygmomanometer,’ explaining that it ‘checks your blood pressure on your arm.’

In one video, she demonstrates using it on her stuffed bunny named Fluffy, telling the rabbit its blood pressure is 120/80.

She also practices other things on Fluffy, including cleaning a boo-boo, adding Neosporin, and putting on a bandage.

In one clip, Emma practices using an EpiPen with an EpiPen trainer (which doesn’t have real medicine in it), telling her mom that the bunny ate peanuts and is allergic — so it is now ‘in anaphylactic shock.’

She then shoes how to administer the EpiPen, step by step.
