His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan called for strengthening aspects of solidarity with the humanitarian problems that haunt many peoples of the world, and His Highness called on the international community and its humanitarian organizations to redouble their efforts to develop societies the most fragile and work together to ward off risks for millions of people around the world, due to health crises and the repercussions of conflicts, wars, climate change, the global economic crisis, food and medicine shortages , water scarcity, widespread poverty and hunger, and the spread of diseases and epidemics.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that devoting an international day to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement represents a good opportunity to root dialogue and discussion on the fundamental issues of concern to the movement, to especially as the world is witnessing changing conditions, which requires reconsidering the concepts of partnership, coordinating the efforts of the movement and developing a strategy.
