“We expect this to be one of our biggest ever,” said owner Britt Guyer.

This Cinco De Mayo is something Britt Guyer has been looking forward to for a long time.

“It’s the energy and the expectations. People are having a good time. There are no more regulations, no more mask mandates,” Guyer said.

He says this is the first Cinco De Mayo he hopes will be at full capacity at his restaurant, Que Pasa.

“The perspective now is that there’s nothing left…everything is safe and they can go out and live their lives, they can go out and celebrate and go to the places they like to go,” Guyer said.

He says he’s been planning for this day for weeks…making sure his staff are ready for the crowds.

Loyal customer, Ray Baker says it was hard to see Que Pasa impacted by the pandemic.

“I love these people and it’s a job for them, it supports their families,” Baker said.

He says he’s glad to see this more normal Cinco De Mayo.

“A place like this directly and indirectly supports many jobs,” Baker said.

As the Cinco De Mayo celebrations continue throughout the weekend, Baker hopes the excitement will continue as well.
