A nine-year-old schoolgirl completely blew the Britain’s Got Talent judges over the weekend with an unexpected performance. Welyn’s Immi Davis took the stage to perform Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” and completely blew the judges away with her incredible voice.
Simon Cowell took a moment like Immi as she introduced herself saying “they became friends” due to her sweet yet funny personality. Then she completely transformed as she started singing after revealing her incredibly powerful voice.
The performance was met with a standing ovation from the judges and audience, with presenter Ant being the first to point out how amazing the audition was. To loud applause from the audience, Simon told Immi, “You’re not human. It’s extraordinary.”
And it wasn’t just Simon who found her brilliant, as Alesha added, “It’s like you’re transforming. We’re under your spell.” Amanda went on to call the performance “incredible”.
Fellow judge David Walliams also joked: ‘Are you sure you weren’t miming? as he was utterly shocked by the perfection of her performance. “I’m completely stunned,” he added.
Along with the judges, fans of the show were impressed with the youngster’s performance. Taking to Twitter, broadcaster India Willoughby said: “Wow. 9 years old??? Amy could be this year’s winner! Brilliant!”, while another viewer added: “Sorry but where is the golden buzzer for this super duper 9 year old kid Immi!!! I need her attitude cause she’s fierce… well done young lady.”
