With the 2021-22 NBA regular season now on the books, the basketball betting market is hotter than ever. CBS Sports will provide daily picks for the duration of the playoffs. Sam Quinn will make at least one pick every game between now and the NBA Finals. All lines courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook.

In two games, Jaylen Brown has made just six two-pointers and three free throws in this series. That’s it. Now, it’s entirely possible that Brown will compensate by making a bunch of 3s again in Game 3, but he’s shooting over 47 percent from behind the arc in this series. It’s not exactly durable, and while he doesn’t appear to be badly injured, it’s worth noting that he seemed to be struggling with his hamstrings in Game 2. Without access to easy shots, wait Expect Brown to regress slightly as a scorer in Game 3. The pick: Brown under 24.5 points

Game 1 of this series totaled 233 points. Game 2 was a lower score at 213, but the two teams were combined at 21 from 83 from behind the arc. On paper, Match 3 looks like it’s going to be very heavily attack-focused. Golden State is missing Gary Payton II, their top defenseman for Ja Morant, and Memphis is missing Dillon Brooks, their favorite defenseman for Stephen Curry. Without them in the game and with basic shooting regression on both sides, we should see a lot more offense at both ends of the field. The pick: Over 225.5
