Deborah has extremely fine, brittle and limp hair and struggles to create volume and body when styling. She has always had very short hair and has tried to grow it out, but struggles to manage it as it ends up looking lifeless and flat. I wanted to refresh her look by adding more texture to her cut, while keeping some length for added softness.

I washed her hair with Oribe Silverati Shampoo and Conditioner, then layered the mid-lengths and ends with Oribe Hair Alchemy Fortifying Serum as a leave-in conditioner to help strengthen weak hair. I started by cutting the perimeter of her hair in a diagonal back shape to maintain the length on the sides and back, while framing her face with full bangs. I then incorporated short layers into the hair, especially on the top and crown, to create the height and volume it lacked. To customize and texturize the cut, I used a razor to carve random pieces around the ears, bangs, and nape of the neck, creating a shaggy, undone finish.

Before styling, I applied Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse for exaggerated body and structure, then hand-dried the hair and a round brush on top. To complete the style, I sprayed Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray all over her hair, along with a few mists of Oribe Swept Up Volume Powder Spray onto the crown, for texturizing root lift that instantly adds buildable grip and style. .

Deborah has a great bone structure and beautiful green eyes. To enhance the shape of her eyes, I applied a nude cream shadow to her lids, lined her eyes with a black waterproof liner and then coated her lashes with black mascara. These three simple steps instantly help define and draw attention to her eyes. I then evened out her skin tone, added a hint of bronzer, and dabbed a cool pink cream blush on the apples of her cheeks to create a supple, natural glow on her skin. To complete the look, I applied a bright, long-wearing pink lipstick to her mouth.
