A VIRAL video appears to show chaos in the back room of a Dollar Tree store with boxes stacked almost to the ceiling.
In the video, TikToker Dessy claims to be a merchandise manager who returned from vacation to find the storage room in complete disarray.
In the TikTok, Dessy says that none of the other staff made the effort to break down the boxes that were delivered while Dessy was on a three-week vacation.
Not only that, but they made no attempt to stock Dollar Tree’s shelves with merchandise, claims the TikToker.
Dessy said that when co-workers were asked why no one had unloaded the boxes, employees claimed, “The store manager was canceling shifts.”
The TikToker also said the store was expecting another delivery of 2,000 items.
It was then that Dessy revealed that they planned to quit and start looking for work elsewhere after seeing the mess.
At the end of the TikTok, the worker reveals that he was offered a job at Lowe’s.
TikTok commenters were shocked by the mess.
“All the boxes in this store need to be fucked… I will close the store for a day and ask the staff to restock,” wrote one TikToker.
“They’re wrong for that,” wrote another.
“At this point I will start shopping in the reserve,” wrote another.
Some commentators, however, were not on Dessy’s side.
“You went on vacation for 3 weeks and didn’t leave clear and concise instructions on how this should be done, it’s always the manager’s fault,” one user wrote.
This isn’t the first time a Dollar Tree video has gone viral on TikTok.
TikToker @x_bazan06 said a Dollar Tree location in Austin, Texas had to shut down for three days because the only employee, the manager, went on vacation.
“I went [away] for three days. That’s why the store was closed for three days, ”explains the worker, identified by the TikToker as a manager.
“[I’m the] single worker.
“They let her stock this whole store on her own,” we hear off-camera. “No bathroom breaks.”
The TikToker also claimed that people “who don’t even work here” were unpacking boxes and loading items onto shelves and into freezers.
Dollar Tree did not immediately respond to The Sun’s requests for comment on the videos.
