What will strike the listener are their glorious harmonies, their vocals that intertwine and create a beautiful honey-dipped sound. The music draws on traditional folk and country with pop sensibilities sprinkled throughout.

The first taste of the project is the title track, which features an uplifting message of brotherhood. Sorry has a strong The Chicks vibe with its rock backing track and towering chorus about humility. Dark depths of the soul are explored on Take Care, marked by weeping lap steel guitar and the promise of light on the horizon. The farewell song See You Next Time offers a temporary goodbye, which the listener can interpret as the promise of more to come.

Wayward Daughter is an intoxicating introduction to the grounded storytelling of the Goddamsels.
