DUBAI, May 7 / WAM / 177 Dubai Electricity and Water Authority employee volunteers completed 46,560 volunteer hours at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Volunteers were involved in many activities during the global event, ranging from guiding visitors, answering their inquiries, helping to organize school visits, helping with entry arrangements, VIP reception, assistance to national pavilion managers with introductory explanations for visitors and translation of texts and correspondence with the Expo. 2020 Dubai Administration.

They have also been involved in organizing activities and events such as UAE National Day, Women’s Day, Haq Al Laila, New Year’s Day, International Volunteer Day and others, and participated in events and conferences held during the exhibition period, such as the Global Government Summit. , WETEX and Dubai Solar Energy, in addition to managing the authority’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, congratulated the volunteer employees of the Authority and commended their efforts during Expo 2020 Dubai and their concern to present an honorable image of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates and to make Expo 2020 Dubai an unforgettable experience for millions of visitors from all over the world.

Al Tayer also praised the efforts of the DEWA team, which managed the DEWA pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which attracted 1,044,743 visitors during the exhibition period, while praising the smart projects and initiatives and innovations of DEWA and its efforts in the field of sustainability.

The volunteers expressed their pride in taking part in this historic event which brought the whole world together in the land of the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing that their volunteer participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and other events is a national duty of give back to the country.
