Police discovered a cache of cannabis and weapons at a residential address in Yardley.
The cannabis farm was discovered early on Saturday morning (May 7) with a selection of large knives, West Midlands Police said in a tweet. “#CTeam Stechford disrupted criminal activity at an address in Yardley this evening when officers located a cannabis factory inside a residential address,” the force wrote in a tweet sent at 12:51 a.m. Saturday morning (May 7). “A number of weapons recovered from the scene.”

Footage shared by police shows several cannabis plants and a number of knives. Three of the knives appeared to have machete-type blades.
Under UK law, it is illegal to carry a knife in public without good reason, unless it has a manual folding blade under three inches long.
Many knives are banned in the UK, including switchblades or “switchblades”, swords, push daggers, cyclone knives, belt buckle knives, sword sticks and knives butterfly.
