The Windsor Bicycling Committee is again offering free bicycle parking at Charles Clark Square on June 27. From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., cyclists will be able to lock their bikes in a corral space that will be actively monitored throughout the evening.

“Bicycling is a great option for the fireworks given the road closures and the sheer numbers it brings downtown,” Ward 9 Coun said. Kieran McKenzie, committee chair.

“Most cyclists who attend the fireworks will avoid motor vehicle traffic and will not have to compete or pay for parking. For many people, biking can be the safest and most efficient way to watch fireworks downtown.

The committee offered the bicycle parking service in 2019, the last time the fireworks took place before a pandemic break. More than 100 cyclists have taken advantage of the service.
