Britain’s Got Talent: Ella Shaw auditions in 2015

Britain’s Got Talent child star Ella Shaw has unveiled a dramatic transformation to fans years after making her ITV debut and starring in the show’s final episodes in 2015.

Ella rose to fame in the ninth series of the ITV show, aged just 18.

The 25-year-old then seduced judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.

She gave a songbird rendition of her own original anthem Summertime and played the piano as she sang the tune.

After the rousing performance, the teenager received a standing ovation from the audience and was described as ‘mega talented’ by tough guy Simon.

Ella advanced to the semi-finals, where she performed Rozalla’s Everybody’s Free, but narrowly missed out on a spot in the final.

After her sting from Britain’s Got Talent, Ella continued to perform and in 2016 she released her own song Safe Drive Stay Alive, in aid of Greater Manchester’s Safe Drive campaign.

The girl also released three more songs on her YouTube channel and performed at several small festivals.

Fans of the singer-songwriter may have seen her take to the stage at the GBFood Festival, the Lightpool Festival in Blackpool in the same year as well as the Blackburn Christmas Light Switch On in 2018.

Ella even supported Peter Andre at a gig in Milton Keynes in 2017.

The BGT finalist is now the founder of the Ella Shaw Academy of the Arts, located in Clitheroe, Lancashire, and these days she keeps her fans updated on what she’s up to via her social media account, which has more than 11,000 subscribers.

A self-proclaimed vocalist/singing coach, Ella previously shared a behind-the-scenes photo from a gig where she supported Boyzlife at the Relight Festival in Wolverhampton in August 2020.

She told her fans in the caption that she was “back where I belong.”

Ella continues to post clips of her musical performances on her YouTube channel and recently shared a cover of Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You as she told fans, “I’M BACK” on Twitter.

Britain’s Got Talent’s new series hit our screens in April and jaw-dropping acts range from dog tricks and magicians to acrobatic shows and dinosaurs.

Familiar faces are back with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon once again in the judges’ seats.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly also returned as hosts, side-watching as contestants strutted onto the stage in a bid to win a coveted place at the Royal Variety Show.

ITV bosses were forced to cancel last year’s series as the Covid pandemic and extensive lockdowns made it nearly impossible to hear any acts.

In 2020, the semi-finals and final were postponed to the fall and pre-taped, with Simon Cowell replaced by Ashley Banjo after the media mogul suffered a nasty accident in the United States.
